Master Plan News and Updates
Tuesday December 12, 2017

After four exciting weeks, the Virtual Open House is now closed. 993 people from across the state took the survey and offered their visions for the Rio Grande Trail. We are so inspired by the community passion for this project.

Because the Rio Grande Trail Master Plan touches such a large geography, we decided to bring the public outreach to you. As one of multiple strategies for sharing information about the master planning process, we will offer an online “Virtual Open House” for a two-week window of time, hosted here on this website.

Visitors can enter the open house, navigate it at their own pace and based on their own interests, and all questions are optional.

What: Virtual Open House, an online public engagement event for the Rio Grande Trail Master Plan

When: Available online November 13 – 27th

Where: www.RioGrandeTrailNM.com

Who:

  • Hosted by the Energy Mineral and Natural Resources Department State Parks Division
  • Developed by Alta Planning + Design, master plan consultants
  • Intended for New Mexicans; and available to any interested persons

The Virtual Open House is a complement to stakeholder outreach that is ongoing and in-depth (Work Groups, agency meetings, tribal liaisons, etc). Stay tuned for more public outreach opportunities in early summer 2018, once draft recommendations are ready to be shared for public consideration and feedback.
