As part of the Rio Grande Trail implementation phase, we are scheduling a series of capacity building sessions. These sessions focus on trail development, financing, maintenance, and trail etiquette. The goal of the series is to share information and built knowledge amongst stakeholder up and down the Rio Grande. Each sessions will start with a quick project overview and is followed a guest speaker to share their experiences and knowledge related to ach topic.
4/4/2023 4:00-5 PM – Trails + and Other Trail Funding OpportunitiesThis meeting will focus on trail funding. We will be getting into the weeds to explore how to utilize and implement different funding strategies. Guest speakers will share their experiences with varying mechanisms of funding.

4/26/2023 4:00-5 PM – Trail Signage + Trail Etiquette
This meeting will focus on trail signage and good “trail etiquette.” We will share best practices from other trail signage systems. Part of this session will also focus on Rio Grande Trail-specific signage and how to implement them best. Guest speakers will share their experience with signage and economical ways of constructing and maintaining signs.
